For over 60 years – from 1837 to 1901- she was Queen of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Ireland & was also the Empress of India from 1876-1901.

Had 9 children, each of whom she had marry into families of other European powers in order to form alliances.

During her reign, Britain experienced its industrial revolution & had many important scientific developments, as well as great economic prosperity.

Under her rule, during the “Victorian Era” (named after her), the British Empire extended its imperial reach.
