Tough childhood, she lost her father at only 3 years old & was sent to live with her stern step-grandmother.
Her NYC drama school teacher said: ‘Lucy’s wasting her time and ours.’
But she persevered, had a landmark show and became the first woman to run a major TV production studio.
Won 4 Emmys, was inducted into the TV Hall of Fame and received the coveted Kennedy Center honor.
