Charming, energetic and ambitious, she was overwhelmingly supported by the country’s people.
Inspired by Peter the Great, she helped bring the culture & politics of Europe to Russia while extending its empire and growing its military power.
She wrote books, helped build new schools and encouraged scientific advancement.
