Ada Lovelace

• Had a natural talent for numbers and language and began working with Charles Babbage (known as the father of the computer).

• Daughter of Lord Byron and considered the first computer programmer.

• Best known for writing computer code & developing looping, a process which is still used in computer software development today.

• Her notes & methods on coding were published in science journals and a new computer language was named in her honor in 1980.
