• American suffragist (one who advocates for the right to vote), activist and abolitionist.

• Fought for slaves’ freedom and rights but frustrated the outcome did not include equal rights for women.

• In 1848, organized and held 1^st women’s rights convention, then later co-founded the National American Woman Suffrage Association.

• Wrote the History of Woman Suffrage and Woman’s Bible about the women’s movement.
