Daniel Boone

• American folk hero known for his woodsman survival skills and frontier explorations.

• Loved the wilderness and started his own hunting business at age 14.

• Created the first settlement in Kentucky (named Boonesborough).

• Fought in the French & Indian War and became a captain in the American Revolution.
