Saint Jude Thaddaeus

Saint Jude Thaddaeus
Author: Bicci di Lorenzo - Museo dell’Opera del Duomo
Born: 1st Century AD
Died: 65 AD
One of the 12 Apostles of Jesus, he traveled the Middle East, present day Iraq, Turkey, Libya and Persia preaching and converting many people to Christianity.
He is the patron saint of desperate or impossible cases.
His name was actually Judas but he was not the Judas who betrayed Jesus and he may have changed his name to Jude to avoid being confused as such.
It’s believed he suffered martyrdom in Syria along with another apostle Simon.
