Saint Joan of Arc

Born: 1412

Died: 1431

Patron saint of soldiers.  She was extremely brave in fighting English forces in France, going to fight even when nobody else would.

She was inspired to fight for King Charles VII’s right to the French crown by God, and throughout her life lived piously.

Received counsel from heaven in the form of divine voices which instructed and guided her throughout her mission.

Said, “About Jesus Christ and the Church, I simply know they’re just one thing, and we shouldn’t complicate the matter.”
