Saint Dominic Savio

Saint Dominic Savio
Author Unknown – Painting
Born: 1842 in Italy
Died : 1857
According to his teacher, John Bosco, he displayed heroic virtue in his daily life, devoting his heart and soul to God – which made him eligible for sainthood.
Upon his first communion he had written promises into a little book, which included “My friends shall be Jesus and Mary” and “Death rather than sin”.
He actively worked to become a saint, believing that it is God’s will for each of us to become saints.
His personal philosophy was: “I can’t do big things, but I want everything… for the glory of God.”
