Throughout her life, she fasted so much that her appearance became disfigured.
Actively served the needs of the poor and the sick in community, often donating clothes and visiting homes. 
Convinced Pope Gregory XI to return to Rome, where another man claimed to be pope. 
Along with St. Teresa of Avila, they were honored as the first women Doctors of the Church. 
Said, “If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world on fire!”
