Died: 64 AD

A fisherman, 1 of the 12 Apostles, followed Jesus as “a fisher of men”.

Witnessed Transfiguration of Jesus. Walked on water toward Jesus but started to sink as his faith faltered.

Denied Christ 3 times just as Jesus said he would at the last supper.

Patron saint of fishermen.

Jesus made him Rock of My Church, saying, “upon this rock, I will build my church” (Matt. 16:18)

Became the first Pope and the founder of Roman Church.
