Had 19 Top 10 records, including “Stardust,” “What a Wonderful World” & “When The Saints Go Marching In.”

Nicknamed “Pops,” he was posthumously awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 1972.

Wore a Star of David in the home of the Jewish family who helped him as a child.
