Known as co-founder of the band Cream and member of Blind Faith, he’s regarded as rock’s first true superstar drummer.

He pioneered the use of 2 kick drums and had a unique style of combining African rhythms with jazz after having lived there.

Songs that showcased his drumming chops included “Toad,” “White Room” and “Do What You Like” (Blind Faith).
