Affectionately known as “The Singing Cowboy,” he was a pioneer of country music who came to fame in the 1930s for his crooning style in film, TV and radio.

His onscreen “co-star” was named Champion the Wonder Horse!

He starred in almost 100 films and is enshrined in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
