Won the Grammy Award for Best Mexican-American Album and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Known as the “Queen of Tejano Music” and sometimes even called the “Mexican Madonna.”

At just 12, she produced and released her first album, and at 15, won Female Vocalist of the Year for the Tejano Music Awards.

Her biggest hits included “Amor Prohibido” and “Dreaming of You,” with 7 of her songs hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Song chart.
