Nancy Lopez

Born January 6, 1957 in CA

She won 3 major golf championships, 48 LPGA Tour events and is in the LPGA Hall of Fame.

Overcame many obstacles like not being able to play at the local club because her parents were of Mexican descent.

Only woman to win LPGA Rookie of the Year and LPGA Player of the Year, she also won the Vare Trophy for the season’s best scoring average as well as the AP Female Athlete of the Year.

She’s a Hispanic Heritage award recipient and after retiring, she started a company making a line of women’s golf clubs and accessories.
