Known as the “voice of Hispanic America,” she reported on ground-breaking news stories for over 30 years, from the political arena to natural disasters and even the war in Iraq.

Co-anchor of Univision’s Noticiero Univision and Aquí y Ahora, where she has won multiple Emmy and Peabody awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award.

Interviewed distinguished people in many fields, including every US president from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama.

Founded the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and honored by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute for her philanthropic work.
