Called one of the world’s most successful playwrights, he’s also a screenwriter and author who’s undoubtedly one of the most popular in the history of American theater.

Created upwards of 60 plays and movie screenplays including Barefoot in the Park, Biloxi Blues and Lost in Yonkers.

The Odd Couple, about 2 single friends who become dysfunctional roommates, may be his funniest play and won a Tony for Best Author.

Recipient of many other awards including Tonys, Pulitzer, WGA, a Kennedy Center Honor, and even had a Broadway theatre named after him!
