Noted for her blunt comedic personality and strong New York accent.

Considered a pioneer of women in comedy, she was inducted into the TV Academy Hall of Fame.

Regular guest host of The Tonight Show, she also hosted a number of shows including Fashion Police and Joan and Melissa with her daughter.

Wrote several autobiographies as well as popular self-help and comedy books.

Having undergone several plastic surgeries, she quipped, “I wish I had a twin, so I could know what I’d look like without plastic surgery!”
