Was very unlikely savior of thousands of Jews during the Holocaust. 
He had been a successful German businessman in during World War II.
Was a spy & member of the Nazi Party yet credited with saving the lives of 1,200 Jews, employing them as his “essential workers” at enamelware & ammunitions factory.
Was given a golden ring (made from dental bridge from prisoner’s mouth) by Jewish workers that he saved. It is inscribed with the saying: “Whoever saves one life saves the world entire.”
Buried in Jerusalem on Mount Zion.
Said: “I did what I could, what I had to do, what my conscience told me I must do….. Really, nothing more.”
