• Rescued from a basket and adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter.

• The written Jewish law, or Torah, is generally attributed to him.

• Parted the Red Sea while leading the Israelites out of slavery.

• Received Ten Commandments from God, listing religious, moral & social principles to follow.
