Known for women’s rights – she fought back when the Taliban banned girls from attending school.
Her bold courage & efforts grew into an international movement.
On October 9, 2012, she survived a Taliban gunman’s attempt to kill her on a bus after taking a school test.
Published a memoir in 2014, “I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World”.
One of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” (2013).
Said: “We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.”
