American writer, cartoonist, animator, book publisher & artist best known for authoring some of most popular children’s books of all time.

Published 1st children’s book in 1937, then string of best sellers, including “The Cat in the Hat”.

As author of more than 60 books which have sold 600+ million copies, he has influenced nearly every living American who ever learned to read – making it fun for both kids & adults.

Wrote in anapestic tetrameter style. Books made into movies included “The Lorax” in 2012.
