Father paid $10 for her to ride with an air racer; said “I knew I had to fly”.
The “Queen of Air” became a celebrity & began promoting & endorsing products to her pay for flying.
Her books: “20 Hrs., 40 Min.” & “The Fun of It” about her flying experiences.
Disappeared July 2, 1937 flying her Lockheed Model 10 Electra plane is still a complete mystery…
