Pope Saint John XXIII

Born: 1881 in Italy (as Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli)

Died: 1963

After becoming a Priest, served as chaplain and stretcher-carrier in Italian army’s medical corp.

Was a firm believer in equality, advocated for human rights and was committed to world peace.

Known affectionately as the “Good Pope”, he loved children and was recognized for his humanitarian work during WWII helping those persecuted by the Nazis.

Said: “We were all made in God’s image, and thus, we are all Godly alike.”
